IMPORTANT: Our Burn Time is 15-17 minutes per candle. Most other candles are 7-10 minutes or even less. That means our candles last 50% - 300% longer than others. When you work out how many candles you need for a one hour session, our candles are the lowest price around. Plus, ask yourself, especially if you have a lot of candling to do, how many times DO you want to stop and start during a session? Especially if you are a practitioner. Effectiveness in candling is lost the more you stop and start. |

There is a reason why our candles last so much longer than others, even though they are 10.5" long. It is superior quality. WHY OUR CANDLES ARE SUPERIOR
WHAT ARE EAR CANDLES? Also called ear cones, ear candles are long, hollow tubes made of wrapped muslin. Ear candles are used for ear wax removal. They are believed to help with ear infection and ear problems such as lack of hearing by removing the wax in which various bacteria and parasites live. Using ear candles is called ear candling. It is generally more comfortable and less expensive than conventional ear cleaning where water is forced into the ear canal. Ear candles, sometimes called ear cones, are considered a folk medicine. The practice of ear candling is actually an ancient art from many other countries such as China, Czechoslovakia, Mexico and Italy. Many people use ear candles once a year or less, but others with chronic ear infection or ear or sinus problems seem to benefit with much more frequent treatments. When using ear candles, the small end of the cone is put into an ear and the other end is lit. As the candle burns, the smoke travels into the ear canal, warming the ear wax and creating a gentle vacuum. This can dislodge the wax or foreign debris and pull it into the ear cone, thus causing ear wax removal. Many report this as being a rather pleasant sensation. Occasionally, an improvement in hearing is reported after using ear candles. Ears should not get water in them or be exposed to very loud noises for 24 hours after treatment. HAND MADE IN THE USA! BEWARE of the new scam: Some suppliers call their candles "Beeswax ear candles" and then make them 100% of paraffin. Ours are 50% high quality beeswax and 50% cheese-grade paraffin. EARN $75 - $180 AN HOUR! We thought that practitioners were charging $30 - $40 and hour but were astonished lately to learn that currently successful Ear Candling Practitioners are charging from $25 to $60 PER CANDLE. This works out around $75 - $180 an hour (less cost of three candles and room rental). See Our Ear Candle Practitioner Business Kit. Only $149.00. Save $34.65.
Materials
Length: 10 1/2 inches (27 cm) Diameter: 1/2" or 5/8". Question: What is the difference in sizes? Answer: There are two widths, 1/2" and 5/8". Which size you choose is just a matter of personal preference. The hole that goes in the ear is the same for both widths. If you are a beginner, it is recommended that you use 1/2" ear candles to start with. Later, you might like to change to the 5/8", as it seems to draw out more wax. Generally, practitioners prefer 5/8" ear candles, as they seem to draw out more wax. If you are experiencing too much heat, the 1/2" seems to be less warm. General Ear Candling Instructions are as follows: DO NOT use ear candles alone. Have someone help you. At the very least, they are essential to make sure you stay awake! Items you will need:
Make an opening in the plate large enough for the ear cone to fit through. Put the small end of the ear cone through the plate, making certain the opening of the candle is not bent or pressed shut. Lie on your side. Light the big end of the candle. Wait to see smoke come through the small end, and then seat the ear candle into the ear. Leakage of smoke around the ear indicates improper positioning of the ear candle. Simply adjust the position of the ear candle until no smoke appears. Let the ear candle burn about 4 inches above the plate, putting it into the container of water to extinguish. Do not attempt to blow the flame out. You may need to wipe the very outer ear to remove some of the small amount of powder residue Many people need to use a number of ear candles to obtain desired results. Do use common sense in being very careful with the flame. The user of this product accepts full responsibility. Manufacturers and sellers are not responsible for any accidents or results of misuse of ear candles. We know you will be most pleased with the results of properly using ear candles. For more instructions read the book "Ear Candling". Details are towards the end of this article. Ear Candle Questions and Answers Results are not typical. Individual results may vary. Question: Where are you candles made? Answer: Our candles are hand made in the USA. Question: Do ear candles really work? Answer: Responses from several users indicate ear candles are effective. There are frequent reports of relief from ear wax build up, ear pain, ear problems, hearing problems, ringing in the ears, sinus problems, headaches, even infection. Question: Can all of that wax remaining in the unused portion of the ear candle really be from my ear? Answer: No. Some of the wax residue is from the ear candle. The most important thing to notice after ear candling is how good your ears feel! Question: How often can ear candles be used? Answer: This has to be an individual decision. It takes the ears about 24 hours to replace their protective coating of wax if it has been removed. Obviously, using ear candles every day would not be advisable. Common sense is the determining factor. Some people believe that more wax comes out with the second candle than with the first, because the wax has had time to warm up. Question: Is there a medical reason that ear candles should not be used? Question: Do ear cones always work? Answer: If ear wax is VERY impacted and has been untreated for a long time, ear candles may not immediately give desired results. Again, use common sense and ear candling will be a great experience! Question: I have tried using ear candles but they don't seem to work, since I am finding no wax in the candle after I cut it open. Am I doing something wrong? Answer: You may be doing one of two things. First, you might not have an air-tight connection. There must be NO smoke coming out the bottom. Two, you might have the ear candle jammed up tight against an ear wall - move it SLIGHTLY to another position - eventually you should be able to hear things happening inside your ear. Question: What are the best positions for larger and smaller ear openings? A slight angle is ok, as long as the fire encircles the cone and the ash stack. When it is seated in the ear snugly, the fire will quickly reduce to a small size, and it will burn slowly without melting the wax out of the fabric. Question: What is the best kind of ear candle to buy? Answer: It is important to not buy one with too much wax. Also, the fuel balance (the ratio of waxes to fabric) is very important. The goal is for all the materials to burn at approximately the same rate... this seems to help minimize the powder residue which is created by all ear candles. At the same time, one must remember we are dealing with natural materials, which, by their very nature, will never be 100% predictable. Our manufacturer has found that the compatibility of the beeswax and paraffin effects the outcome, which is one reason they choose to *not* use the lower grades of paraffin. Another factor is the size of the opening at the tip. Since the whole concept of coning is to help clear material from the ear, the tip opening should be large enough to minimize the incidence of clogging, but small enough to ensure the "chimney effect", or "drawing power". For example, a vacuum cleaner hose with a too-large opening will not only have very little suction, it will drop most of the material right back out again... too small, and it will clog with very little material having passed through. We take the utmost care to create a tip opening that strikes a balance between these two scenarios. Question: Why use beeswax ear candles? Answer: Paraffin is petroleum based. Some people believe that beeswax ear candles are less irritating than the 100% paraffin candles. Also, some people believe that there are healing qualities in beeswax that are not present in paraffin. These healing qualities may come from the essence of the different flowers visited by the bees. This is particularly important when you know that there is a whole set of acupuncture points for the body on the ear. Question: Why don't you use soy wax? Answer: It isn't a true wax. It's hydrogenated soy oil, so it instantly breaks down into a fine powder at the slightest touch. This characteristic allows it to fall right out of the ear candle, which opens up spaces all over, and is no longer air tight. True waxes that come straight from nature, such as bayberry and paraffin, aren't reduced to powder when handled. Question: Why don't you use herbs or essential oils Answer:Both of these are very powerful. They control the body, rather than just support it like good food does. Sometimes that control is good, sometimes it is bad. You really, really have to know what you are doing when using herbs and essential oils. Different people need different ones at different times. And different ones could have a negative effect on different people at different times. The only people who should use herbs and essential oils are those who have been highly trained in their use. Question: What do I do if some of the residue from the ear candle gets in the ear? Answer: In using our ear cones, our manufacturer has, on occasion, seen a very small amount of the powder residue escape from the cone, but has never seen it go any further than the inside edge of the opening of the ear. Her comments were: "To remove it, I use a Q-Tip moistened with olive oil or similar, and gently touch the powder, which seems to pick it right up, without pushing it further inside. After removing all I can see at the opening, I offer another moistened Q-Tip to the client, with the suggestion to use it in a swirling motion, by rolling it between the fingertips, while inserting it in very small increments. Also, in an effort to minimize the possibility of powder escaping from the tip, I always remove the cone before extinguishing, with a slightly swift but steady motion, and try to avoid shaking it in the process. I believe the "drawing power" is greatly reduced immediately upon breaking the airtight seal between the cone and the ear. Again using the vacuum example, notice the increase and decrease when firmly placing a hand over, then removing it from, the hose opening." Keep in mind that many have reported all sorts of things ending up in the ear... dirt, dust, sand, along with small flying insects, etc. The ear naturally works on its own to expel foreign materials. Question: I have read on the internet that ear candling is a scam. What do you say to this? Answer: I understand that ear candling dates back to at least arounnd 2500 B.C. I also understand from what various websites and people say that it was used by the Hopi Indians, Aztecs, Egyptians, and in India, China, and Tibet. I don't have references for this. If you have a reference for this, I would love to hear from you. Remember, many ancient natural remedies don't cost much, so no one will make a fortune from studying them. And therefore no one will pay for the studies. Here is what our manufacturer said: "I have drawn my own conclusions though, after many close inspections during the process. (I'm also aware of others who have the same opinion.) I've noticed that the ear wax doesn't begin accumulating in the lower portion of the cone first (in the area near the tip). Instead, I've *always* noticed that the accumulation begins more toward the large end, midway between the fire and the halfway point of the cone. Then, it appears that all the materials (ear debris and cone materials) seem to blend together as the burning continues, forming the dark brown wax inside the cone. It is my opinion this may be why the remains can appear to be identical. But I have noticed, *just as often*, the color of the remains can range from a lighter amber color to a very dark, almost black color, after coning. These distinct differences have occurred when all the cones came from the same 'batch'. In the end, I've found the most significant factors in deciding if cones do or don't really work are the *amount* of accumulation, as well as an unmistakable sensation of relief. In all instances, the more extreme the situation of the ears, sinuses, hearing, etc., the larger the accumulation has been. Not once have I ever seen the results deviate from this. As a reminder, the results I've described will not usually be obtained after just one cone. Generally, using 2 to 4 cones, with one immediately following the other, in the same ear, is required to see the dramatic results. It must also be someone who clearly has a 'clogged' situation. Someone who generally has little-to-no situation of this type will always end up with a mostly clean cone in comparison. By the way, [laughing], by all scientific accounts, the bumblebee defies the basic laws of aerodynamics and shouldn't be able to fly... " Question: What about the powder that comes out of the ear candle? Answer: A cone with too much of *any* wax will drip. If the correct amount of wax is applied, the fabric and wax will both burn at the same rate, with no dripping. All wax will produce powder. If there's no powder, it means far too little wax was applied, and the cone is absolutely not air tight. Any ear candle containing beeswax will produce a larger accumulation of powder residue than plain paraffin. Also, the properties of the beeswax will vary due to whatever the bees are feeding on at the time, which will effect the amount of the powder as well. Stopping a few times to clear the tip with a toothpick and to clear out the cone will reduce the amount of powder to be dealt with. Question: There was not as much ear wax in the candle as I had expected there to be. Answer: Maybe the person HAS less wax to remove. Also, if you let a candle burn only a few inches before putting it out, you may see that some wax sometimes is pulled right to the top of the ear candle. That part of the candle is normally burned and so you don't get to see it. What is important is how the person feels. Question: What is the significance of the muslin being coiled? Answer: I don't have a definite answer from this, just a few ideas. I have been told by different people when I was at natural health fairs that the muslin is coiled SO AS TO CREATE A VORTEX. There is much power in vortices that science will begin to understand one day. For more information on vortices, research "Victor Schauberger" - a genius whose work has been kept hidden from the public. Here's a good place to start. Question: What else will help ear ache? Answer: Check with your doctor first about this: For myself, I have found that Hydrogen peroxide 3% solution can help, so long as it produces bubbles when put in the ear (use a cotton ball to squeeze it in). The bottle of Hydrogen peroxide I have says it is a "Topical anti-infective" and a "germicide". However, some times it doesn't help in the long run. I gather this is because some germs love water eg "swimmer's ear". So then I use rubbing alcohol. Question: Can I do ear candling on my own? Answer: NO. Not under any circumstances. An observer is essential to have proper positioning of the ear candle and for protection. At the very least, they are essential to make sure you stay awake!
TIP FOR ITCHY EARS: This might be caused by parasites. See the book “Cure for all diseases” by Hulda Clark. It might also be caused by the engine degreaser and other chemicals in your shampoo. Rinse your ears very thoroughly each time you shampoo. If that doesn’t work, try switching to a natural shampoo with no Sodium Laurel Sulphate (Ammonium Laurel Sulphate is not nearly as toxic). TIP FOR THOSE WHO SEEM TO HAVE TO CONTINUALLY USE EAR CANDLES You might like to try some changes in diet, in particular reduce the amount of dairy in your diet, especially milk and cheese. See www.notmilk.com. Also, is it possible that excess ear wax is the body's attempt to remove the chemicals from your shampoo? CASE HISTORIES (Results are not typical. Results may vary)
