Muesli – Raw Healthy Breakfast Recipe
This super healthy breakfast will easily keep you satisfied until lunch time. Everything is in roughly the same amount. You decide the ratios.
Ingredients
Filler to save you money –
Oatmeal. SOAK IT FOR UP TO 8 HOURS to make it more digestible. Similar to sprouting it.
Good fats –
Raw Sunflower seeds
Raw Pepitas (pumpkin seeds )
Chia seeds
Walnuts, a few
Almonds, unpasteurized (you can still get these from ebay. All so-called ‘raw’ almonds in stores, even health food stores, are no longer raw. They have been pasteurized with steam or carcinogenic chemicals)
Sweet things –
Dried cherries
Chokeberries, just a few
Dried mulberries
Prunes
Raisins
Apple, one fresh
Method
Grind pepitas and almonds up into smaller pieces. Chop prunes and cherries into smaller pieces. Mix everything except the apple and store in a container.
Serve with soaked oatmeal, almond milk and chopped apple or other fruit. You can buy almond milk in the fridge at supermarkets, which is not raw, or make some yourself.
Note
As with most recipes, feel free to omit and substitute any particular ingredient.
Modification to save money
Not quite as healthy, but very tasty: Soak some rolled oats, on the bench, in water 2-8 hours (to make more digestible). Add those.
