Study proves 95% of people
Really are Sheeple
Scientists at the University of Leeds have conducted research that proves the tendency many have to act like sheep, unwittingly following crowd as if they didn’t possess a reasoning mind. This doesn’t inspire a ton of hope for our future unless people improve themselves
The study showed that it takes a minority of just five percent to influence a crowd’s direction – and that the other 95 percent follow without even realizing what is going on.
Professor Krause, with PhD student John Dyer, conducted a series of experiments in which groups of volunteers walked randomly around a large hall. Within the group, a few received instructions regarding where to walk. Participants were not allowed to communicate with one or intentionally influence anyone.
The findings in all cases revealed that the informed individuals were followed by the others in the crowd, forming a self-organizing, snake-like structure (or flock of sheep, take your pick).
“We’ve all been in situations where we got swept along by a crowd,” said Professor Krause. “But what’s interesting about this research is that our participants ended up making a consensus decision despite the fact that they weren’t allowed to talk or gesture to one another. In most cases the participants didn’t realize they were being led by others at all.”
Interestingly, I found this on a forum. I don’t have a reference for it, but thought it of interest all the same:
It has always been the same figure. One in twenty. The Chinese used to study their prison populations and weed out the one in twenty and segregate them, the idea being that they could tightly control those prisoners most likely to try escape or to motivate others into escaping or just plain causing disruption, and that the others, the important nineteen in twenty would just settle back into docility and be completely manageable.
Interestingly the idea was a dud because if you took twenty of the “dominant” group and put them together, nineteen of them would become sheep, submissive to the one again, and in the “sheep” group, one of those twenty sheep would suddenly become dominant and so the ratio is always the same. No wonder the oligarchs like to keep us in crowds.
It’s fascinating that we don’t teach goal setting and decision making skills in our education system. These help form the foundation of real character and individuality, and protect us from over dependency on the ideas or opinions of others. Are we such sheeple that we allow a few “informed” people to lead us around without even knowing what’s happening? Here are some suggestions for ensuring that you are your own person:
1. Set Goals of Your own.
2. Become informed. Start with reading all of the articles on our website.
3. Talk to God. Invite the Holy Spirit into your life. Ask God how to improve your life, and what He would like you to do. Listen for answers.
4. Don’t join groups that don’t exactly conform to what God tells you to do
5. Move out of the largest cities into smaller towns even if it means a commute.
6. Turn off the television and radio and stop letting the corporations zombify you.
7. Boycott all wireless (smartphone, tablet, wifi) and stop letting the corporations zombify you.
8. Read “You’re Not Fat, You’re Toxic” and stop letting the corporations poison you and kill your brain cells.
